LORD Jesus, we praise You, for You are the Word of God the Father. Forgive us, O God, we pray, whenever we fail to seek wisdom and understanding in Your Word alone. You know our thoughts, our intents, and our heart’s desire. Guide us in this coming year to discover more of what the Bible says about You. Help us to gain a better knowledge and understanding and wisdom of how to live our lives, lives that honor and bring glory to You alone. In Jesus’ precious name we pray. Amen.
Bible Reading Plans
Will you commit (again) to read through the whole Bible? Do you have a plan to do so? Or are you still looking for one? May I suggest a few, please?
Audio Bible
Depending on your learning style, instead of, or additional to your daily readings of the Word, you could listen to an audio version of the Bible. This will also assist you in memorizing verses and even chapters of your Bible.
DVDs and TV Shows
Or, if are you a person who prefers visual learning, you might want to watch DVDs or shows on TV. Do you want to dig deeper to gain a broader knowledge about subjects like archaeology, creation, or specific books of the Bible? How about being challenged by taking quizzes on a daily or weekly basis?
Bible Discovery TV
The Hembree family has been leading their viewers through the Bible for many years now. You can find their daily and weekend shows and more at BibleDiscoveryTV.com and on several TV stations around the world. We met them nearly 20 years ago, when we started to watch their daily show while it was still called “Quick Study.”
