The Strong Woman — Part 1

And further, my son, be admonished by these.
Of making many books there is no end,
and much study is wearisome to the flesh.

Ecclesiastes 12:12

LORD Jesus we praise You for Your amazing Love for us. You are the One who has created us. You are the Immanuel, God with us, who has left His throne to come to live with us. You are the Messiah, Christ the Savior, who was made sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in You. Hallelujah! Forgive us, O God we pray, whenever we are trying to do things in our own strength. Help us to grasp that You are the strong One, our High Tower to run to, our Strength, precious LORD. Enable us to learn from You, and to find rest for our souls in You alone. In Jesus’ precious name we pray. Amen.

What a lesson we have been taught at the Kids’ Spot Time at church yesterday! The pastor asked one of the children to walk on top of a “line” (a straight piece of paper/fabric lying on the floor). He referred to it as “life.” The child walked freely and without any burden, and was right on top of it. Things changed, though, as soon as the boy had to hold up his arms. The pastor began to place one book after another on top of the child’s hands. As long as the “burdens of life” (books) were small enough, the child managed well and kept on walking okay. Things changed dramatically, though, as the books (burdens of life) became heavier and heavier and the pile (clouds in life) became thicker and thicker with time. The lesson was clear: We need Jesus to find eternal life with Him and to face life on this earth.

In this week’s blog, I want to put emphasis on the articles we read, the books we buy, and the courses and studies we attend in our life. Some of these selected sources will try to define the term “Strong Woman” and yet fail to teach how to put these guidelines into practice.

If they cannot provide the answer, where else can we find it?

In God’s Word.

No, I’m not kidding. Believe me, the Bible is not an old-fashioned book which is no longer relevant for us today. Nothing could be further from the Truth. True, culture may have changed (even changed a lot) but God’s Word never changes! It contains good and applicable advice for the woman who is seeking the Counsel of God — no matter where on earth or during which era she is living.

We will dig deeper into the Word of God in Friday’s Blog. It is going to be SO exciting and a real eye-opener. We will find out more about the virtuous and the strong woman. So, please stay tuned. Thank you!

Coming up next: The Strong Woman — Part 2 where we will talk more about the characteristics of the (supposedly) strong woman.

Seek and find the Truth today.
