Sing and Praise the LORD

 A Song. A Psalm of David.
O God, my heart is steadfast;
I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn.

I will praise You, O LORD, among the peoples,
And I will sing praises to You among the nations.

Psalm 108:1-3

LORD Jesus we praise You for You are the mighty One. Hallelujah! You are the One who has made us. You are the One who has dwelt among us. You are the One who has loved us so, so much that You have died for us — in our place. You, O LORD, are the One who has called us. Forgive us, O God we pray, whenever we neglect to think about these things. Help us, precious LORD Jesus, and remind us of who You are and what You have done for us. Reach out to touch our hearts and guide us in our daily walk with You. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen.

If you are ever lost for words and ways on how to praise the LORD then go to the Books of Psalms. Beside some other psalms you will find an abundance of psalms of praises.

Today’s psalm in our reading plan is a good example of this. One of the ways to read it is by just reading it through. Another way of reading Psalm 108 is by going down verse by verse while making notes of it. You can do that using the second person — like that:

Let your heart be steadfast and sing. Praise Him! Sing praises to God Almighty among the peoples. Sing His praise among the nations.

or in a more personal way like that:

Let my heart be steadfast, and let me sing. I want to praise Him, and sing praises to God Almighty among the people. Oh that I may sing His praise among the nations.

Praise the LORD, and sing praises to Him today.
