For He is our God,
And we are the people of His pasture,
And the sheep of His hand.
Today, if you will hear His voice:
Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion,
As in the day of trial in the wilderness,
When your fathers tested Me;
They tried Me, though they saw My work.
LORD Jesus, we praise You for You are holy. We praise You for the Righteousness You are for us. We praise You for being the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that we are able to come to the Father because of what You have done for us. Hallelujah! Forgive us, precious LORD, whenever we are looking to our own strength, to our own wisdom, to the way we want things to happen in our life. Help us, O God, to seek strength and wisdom in Your Word and to do what You have commanded us to do. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen.
Is HE truly our God? Are we called the people of His pasture? Do we long to be the sheep of the hand of the great Shepherd?
If so, are we willing to wholly follow Him — in everything He requires of us? Or do we harden our hearts as the Israelites did in the wilderness? What do we do when times are tough and trials come our way? Will we remember how God has worked in our life before? In such situations, do we remind ourselves that God is good and that we need to cling to Him. Will we believe His promises to be true and that He is able to perform what He has promised? Or will we give in to the temptation of testing and trying Him — just like the Israelites did back then?
Believe in God and wholly follow Him today.
