The LORD will give strength to His people;
The LORD will bless His people with peace.
LORD Jesus we praise You for You do not only give us strength but You are the very essence of Strength. Hallelujah! Forgive us, O God we pray, whenever we hold fast to things and people in our life. Enable us to see and hear and understand You — the Word of God the Father sent to this earth so that whoever believes in You will not perish but have everlasting life and have it more abundantly. We praise You LORD for You are our God, our mighty King, and the Strength we need each and every day. In Jesus’ precious name we pray. Amen.
As I read Psalm 30 this morning I was reminded of some of the words found in Psalm 29 yesterday; and I also remembered the verse I have marked in red the day before:
The LORD is their strength,
And He is the saving refuge of His anointed.
And I went back yet another couple of verses, to read Psalm 27 again.
The LORD is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
I don’t know about you, but I find in my own life a day or even a week or month now and then when things look quite hopeless and when my strength fails me. Everything seems to be going wrong at once and one thing adds to another. These are the times when I usually cry out to the LORD and admitting to Him that I’m so weak — too weak to handle all of what is going on in that moment.
At that stage I have to stop leaning on my own understanding and on my own feeling for what is right and what is wrong. Instead, I have to come to a full stop and remind myself of who God is! He is the LORD, the everlasting God, my Shield and my Strength.
Let the LORD be your Strength today.
