Hope in His Word

I rise before the dawning of the morning,
And cry for help;
I hope in Your word.
My eyes are awake through the night watches,
That I may meditate on Your word.

Psalm 119:147-148

LORD Jesus we praise You for You are the Word that became flesh and dwelt among us. Forgive us, whenever we are rushing through our days without any desire to read Your Word first. Help us, O God we pray, to diligently study and obey Your Word. In Jesus’ wonderful name we pray. Amen.

How many times in your life did you think that you had it all worked out? Everything was going according to plan until that day when something dramatic happened. All of the sudden life came to a full stop. It felt so distant and so unreal. You began asking yourself how something like this could ever happen to you. Where did you search for and find hope?

What about the times during which you were anxious because you were just about to begin a new chapter in your life? You were probably far from thinking that you had it all worked out. You did not know, or at least you were not sure, what to expect the day you switched school, while going through your exams for graduation, starting a new job, getting married, or the birth of your first child. Where, or from whom or what, did you seek answers that time?

The other day I sent an encouragement in form of a text to a young lady. She replied by text and asked me to wish her good luck. “But luck is not enough. In fact, it is far too less,” I thought.

Chance and luck are only wishes and dreams that may or may not come true. The Hope that is found in Christ the LORD, though, never fails.

Find Hope in God’s Word today.
