For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers.
All things were created through Him and for Him.
And He is before all things,
and in Him all things consist.
And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead,
that in all things He may have the preeminence.
For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell,
and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself,
by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven,
having made peace through the blood of His cross.
LORD Jesus, we praise You for by You all things were made, and by You all things consist, and by You all things are reconciled to Yourself. Hallelujah! What a Maker, what a Savior You are, LORD Jesus. Forgive us, O God we ask, whenever we doubt or belittle the power of Your great name. Guide us and open the eyes of our heart to see the Victory in You. In Jesus’ precious name we pray. Amen.
Do you like to do jigsaw puzzles? I hope so, because “Putting all the Pieces Together” will be our topic for this week.
Today’s verses give us a good glimpse of the whole story of the Bible. We find out who created all things, how they exist, why they were made, who is in charge of them all, that something must have happened in the past which alienated these things from their Maker, and that the Creator Himself reconciled them to Himself, and how He has made Peace.
These verses serve only like an outside box of a jigsaw puzzle. We need to get to work, open up the wrapping, and then, piece by piece, put the puzzle together — until the whole beautiful picture is complete.
