Find the Truth

And you shall know the truth,
and the truth shall make you free.

John 8:32

LORD Jesus, we praise You for You are not only a great Teacher of the Truth, but You are the Truth. Hallelujah! Forgive us, O God we pray, whenever we seek wisdom and understanding in all the wrong places. Guide us in our seeking and finding answers to life’s toughest and easiest questions. Enable us to see and to know Truth — and nothing but the Truth. In Jesus’ precious name we pray. Amen.

We find all kinds of “find” apps on the market today. There are those who offer to find your device/s. Then there are others who promise to find your friends & family for you. While doing a search online I have even found apps which say that they will find out everything you want to know about a specific person. They are selling their information as “the truth” about people.

To find something or someone we first have to know what or who it is that we are looking for. In other words, we have to ask ourselves which truth is it that we are seeking? How and where do we find that truth?

In John 17:17 Jesus asks the Father to sanctify the disciples by His Truth. Then He tells the reader what Truth is: His Word.

The true disciple abides in God’s Word (John 8:31), and is sanctified — set apart — by this very Word of God. Sanctified for what? For holiness and service to the One who has left His Throne to come down to this earth to save His People from their sins. Hallelujah!

We need to go to the Word to find Truth which will make us free — not to do as we please, but to be freed from the bondage of sin.

Let your heart and mind be saturated with the Word of God today.
