Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled.
And they realized that they had been with Jesus.
Acts 4:13 (emphasis mine)
LORD Jesus, we praise You, our great Shepherd, our Master and Teacher, the Lamb of God, the Savior, Christ the LORD. LORD, You are our God. You are the One who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them. Forgive us, O God we pray, whenever we are letting a day pass by on which we do not exalt You as we should. Why do we fear man? Let us instead fear God, who is the LORD of host and the Most High forever. Guide us throughout this week as we remember Your great Love for us and what You have done for us at the Cross. In Jesus’ powerful name we pray. Amen.
Yesterday was Palm Sunday. This Sunday marks the beginning of what is called “Holy Week” — the week before Easter. Coming Thursday is a day reminding us of the Last Supper Jesus shared on earth before His death. Friday we remember His crucifixion. Sunday we celebrate that Christ has risen. Hallelujah!
There are plenty of books and devotionals available out there serving as a guidance through this week. I would like to take a different focus over the next three days.
Do you believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead? If so I would like to ask you: Have you been with Jesus? Do you spend time with Him — thinking of Him, talking to Him, listening to Him, reading His Word, and praising Him? What is different about you since you have confessed with your mouth the Lord Jesus?
