Nothing Is Impossible

Jesus said to him,
“If you can believe,
all things are possible to him who believes.”

Mark 9:23

LORD Jesus, we praise You for this day that You have made. Guide us in our way so that we draw near to You and keep our eyes on You. Enable us to see Your will and to do what You are asking us to do. Catch us whenever we fall, O God we pray, and help us to get back on the right track again. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen.

Are all things possible to us just because we are believers in Christ? Is it true that everyone who works a miracle is a follower of Jesus? By no means! If it is within God’s will and for His glory then we are able to move mountains in the name of Christ Jesus and by His authority.

As Christians we know that we cannot do a thing without God, but we can do everything with God. If God be for us, who could be against us?

How many times do we want to have it our own way instead of God’s way, though? And we, even if only done or thought in secret, long for others to praise us for what “we” have accomplished, don’t we?

I’ve heard an amazing sermon — such powerful words — last Sunday on the authority of God. While it was still going on, God brought something to my mind. I was reminded of a specific situation in my life. I tried to decline and stumbled: “Me? How? I could not make this happen.” The preacher quoted the next verse and it was as if God spoke directly to me. Amazing!

No, no! God didn’t put confidence in me that I could accomplish this. Not at all. Rather He put confidence in me that He — and only He — is able to make me accomplish this. Hallelujah!

If you feel helpless in one or the other situation in your life, don’t despair! Draw near and nearer to the LORD Jesus. God will never give you more than you can handle. He is, and always remains, in control — no matter what.

Remember that God is able to perform what He has promised.
