Heaven On Earth

So, when he had gone out, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in Him.
If God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself, and glorify Him immediately.
Little children, I shall be with you a little while longer. You will seek Me; and as I said to the Jews, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come,’ so now I say to you.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

John 13:31-35

LORD Jesus, we praise You for You are above all. Your Love is perfect and Your Grace is amazing. Keep us near the cross, O God we pray, that we may not go in our own but in Your Strength. Help us to love one another as You love us. Enable us to be humble and to walk in Your perfect Love and in the amazing Grace that You are having for us daily. In Jesus’ precious name we pray. Amen.

“Heaven on earth” is a phrase that has different definitions — depending on how it is being used in a sentence. I can say: “I move heaven and earth to get you to read my blog.” In other words: I will do everything I can to achieve that goal. Then there is the meaning of “heaven on earth” being a lovely place (situation), for example if I say: “Living in this family is like heaven on earth,” or, “The time we had together was heaven on earth.”

Can we challenge one another to give others a peek of heaven on earth? In what ways can we “move heaven and earth” to get people (believers and unbelievers alike) into the Word of God? How can we make a difference, by the way we are living, and show others the Love of Christ within us?

At the moment, during our time on this earth, we cannot be with Jesus — not in a way that we will be with Him forever in heaven. (v.33) He went ahead of us and is preparing a place for us. One day He will come again and receive us to Himself. Then we will be with Him forever. (Johne 14:2-3)

Do you long to be in heaven one day? Why?
