The LORD is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him.
LORD Jesus, we lift up our hands to You to praise You for all that You are and all that You have done for us. What are we that You, God Almighty and Creator of heaven and earth, would take knowledge of us? We are here but for a moment, but You, the God of hosts are not bound neither by time nor by space. You are above all and in control no matter what happens throughout history. Thank You for loving and for keeping us safe in Your Arms. In Jesus’ precious name we pray. Amen.
Do you read labels? I mean, while shopping, are you in the habit of checking the ingredients? Have you ever wondered what they are? How they taste? What they would do for your body?
Now, even though we are told to look after our body, we can get overboard trying to live healthy and staying fit. The LORD is our strength and shield, even when we cannot eat right (for whatever reason) or if we cannot keep our body in shape. To a certain point we just need to trust Him to provide nourishment for our body.
On the other side we shouldn’t be neglecting what God has made so special. He has formed each one of us and knew us even before we were born. How amazing is that?
Colossians 1:16 says:
For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
He created you, precious sister in Christ! Yes, indeed, by Him you were created and you were created through Him and for Him. What God has made for Himself He has made special, don’t you think?
Don’t misunderstand, I’m not talking about us being so special in and of ourselves! What I’m saying is that He has made each one of us special for Himself. He even stepped down, left heaven and His throne, to save His people! Psalm 28:9 says:
Save Your people,
And bless Your inheritance;
Shepherd them also,
And bear them up forever.
If you belong to His people you are blessed and called His inheritance. He will look after you no matter what hardship you are facing and He will bear you up forever. What a wonderful thought! His people — each one of them — are special to Him.
Praise the LORD and do not be afraid. You are God’s inheritance. He will shepherd you.
