Glad for What the LORD Has Done

The LORD has done great things for us,
And we are glad.

Psalm 126:3

LORD Jesus, we come before You now to ask for Your Guidance. Teach us, O LORD, we pray, what matters most. Guide us in our daily walk and help us to see what great things You are doing in our lives. Forgive us that we so often miss praising You for Your mighty works. Enable us to focus on You, to worship You in Truth and in Spirit, and to give all glory to You. In Jesus’ wonderful name we pray. Amen.

The heart-breaking side of having to endure our suffering is that we do not know the end from the beginning.

Two weeks ago I was a few days away from going through one of the greatest hardships I’ve had to face so far. Had anybody warned me ahead of time I would have given everything not to be going through that. If I would have known the positive outcome beforehand, however, I would have agreed and gladly taken the pain into account. But, of course, I didn’t.

It’s heart-breaking to read (in Luke 17) that only 1 in 10 lepers returned to the LORD to thank and praise Him for what He has done.

We so often cry out to God for help. How many times do we lift up our hands to give praises to Him for healing and rescuing us? Verse 2 of Psalm 126 says:

Then our mouth was filled with laughter,
And our tongue with singing.
Then they said among the nations,
“The LORD has done great things for them.”

Unbelievers watch us more closely while we are going through troublesome times. Some will mock us and ask where our God is — now that we are facing such difficulty in our lives. Others will keep quiet and watch us from a distance. Once the hardship left both groups usually loose interest and go on with their own lives. By the Grace of God they should be able to see that: The LORD has done great things.

We have to declare and praise the LORD’s mighty Works. Many people cannot grasp that because their god/s are not able to perform such things nor are their gods mighty to save. Only the LORD Jesus can do this.

Precious sister, how has God carried you through suffering in the past time? Thinking of it, does that make you shout for joy? Now, do you feel like lifting up your hands and singing praises to God? You need to share that with someone today.

Praise the LORD for what He has done in your life.
