And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,
so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;
for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’
We praise You for the bright and sunny day that You have made. Forgive us, LORD, for taking so many things for granted. Thank You for leading us and making us aware of what is lacking in our lives. Keep us tightly tucked under Your great loving Wings as we draw near to You to seek Your help and guidance in all that we do today. In Jesus’ precious name we pray. Amen.
Society puts a lot of weight on age, certificates and diplomas, color of skin, nationality and language. It often makes an unfair distinction. Guess who would be preferred and who would be neglected? Younger people have more, but older people have less strength. A highly educated person knows a lot, and a poorly educated one doesn’t know that much. And what about skin color, nationality and language barriers?
God made you, precious sister. Yes, He made you special. You are His offspring. He is your Father, and you are His child. Are you seeking Him today?
Feel Him and find Him. Feeling Him? Yes, feeling Him! The NKJV says: “…that they might grope for Him and find Him.” I never heard the word “grope” before, so I had to look it up. The King James Version expresses verse 27 like this:
That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
We women like to emphasize feelings a bit more now and then, don’t we? Now, isn’t God amazing to put this verse into His Word? Yes, He is an amazing and loving God, but He is also a jealous God. He wants your attention and your love. Are you seeking Him today?
Verse 28 reminds us that “in Him we live and move and have our being.” Precious sister, you cannot fight hardships in your own strength, nor can you win life’s battles with earthly weapons. The battle is the LORD’s and He is the One who is able to save. He is the way, the truth, and the life. Are you seeking Him today?
Seek the LORD. HE is not far from you. He is Right There!
